John Oliff arrived at the Ranch in 1986. Although he was only sixteen years old, his life had already skidded out of control because of his use of drugs and alcohol. As a resident at the Ranch, John successfully completed our program. Today, John is a loving husband to his wife Karen and a wonderful father to four beautiful girls. John earned a Master’s Degree of Divinity and currently serves as a Professor at Philadelphia Biblical University.

Richie Smith

Richie Smith was sitting in a juvenile detention for the third time when he met Chuck McClanahan. As a result of the meeting, Chuck appeared in court on Richie’s behalf and asked the judge to release the struggling teen into his custody. With the judge’s approval, Richie arrived at the Ranch in 1988. His addiction to drugs and alcohol had held his young life in bondage. Richie was battling depression, and at times wanted to end his own life. Today, Richie is drug and alcohol-free and spends his leisure time playing golf. He is the successful owner of the R.A. Smith Tile and Marble Company located in the Annapolis, Maryland area.

Brandon Williard

An unruly teen, Brandon Williard was living his life as a young thug on the streets of Chester, Pennsylvania. Brandon was selling and using drugs at the age of sixteen. His life was dramtically changed when Brandon committed a strong armed robbery and was sent to the Ranch in 1996. Today, Brandon and his wife Becky have been blessed with four children. Brandon is also the owner of a successful recycling business.
